This year for the first time ever, the TALENT DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (TDP) concert will be held in the evening. Hosting the concert, Alan Jones AO and John Foreman, with special guests Wes Carr, Jessica Mauboy and Johathan Welch AM plus TDP star graduates Roshani Priddis (2008 Australian Idol finalist), Felicity Urquhart, Darren Coggan and Julie Goodwin. All the performers will be accompanied by the 18 piece NSW Public Schools Jazz Band and the NSW Public Schools Senior Singers.
The reason for an evening concert is not only to give the graduating performers a wider audience but to accommodate another initiative this year - the TDP master.class.
The TDP master.class will be hosted by inaugural Australian Idol Musical Director and TDP graduate John Foreman alongside a range of industry professionals including all the stars of the concert, record company executives, artist managers and stylists. The team will provide up and coming hopefuls with informative and practical ideas on how they did it and what aspiring artists need to do to make a career in the music industry.
After the master.class, participants can enjoy the 2009 Graduation concert featuring eleven students - who have made it through the demanding TDP program.
Country NSW can be proud with four students hailing from Deniliquin including rock group "The Lincolns" (Michael Gorham, Michael Cavanagh, Matthew Savage), Shane McGrath also from Deniliquin; country songwriter Makaylie Foodey from Maitland, music theatre singers Nicholas Gentile and Alex Gibson-Giorgio, contemporary singer song-writers David Leaupepe and Ricky Blomfield, classical singer Emily Edmonds and comedic songwriter Meriana Gyory.
TDP concert and master.class gives you the chance to see tomorrow's stars fresh from Australia's leading fame school, perform live on stage plus the opportunity to learn from industry professionals.
