  • Attractions 2THE TRUE HEART AND SOUL OF THE CITY

Set pride of place in the heart of Sydney’s liveliest precinct, the Sydney Entertainment Centre is surrounded by a buzzing hive of attractions.

Chinatown – Located in Haymarket, between Central Station and Darling Harbour, this vibrant Asian hub is packed with attractions, culture, history and cultural events.  For the patron visiting the Sydney Entertainment Centre during the day or night, tasty restaurants, Oriental pop tea and coffee outlets, yum cha, dumpling and noodle bars abound, with some opening into the wee hours of the morning. While traditionally dominated by Chinese food, Chinatown has an aromatic enclave of other dining options from all over Asia including Malay, Singaporean, Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean, Thai and Indian to name just a few.

Cockle Bay Wharf – One of Darling Harbour’s three distinct waterfront entertainment areas, Cockle Bay Wharf offers an eclectic variety of restaurants, bars, clubs and cafes whilst looking out onto the cool calm vista of that internationally renowned harbour.

Darling Harbour – Harbourside is rated as one of Sydney’s most popular waterfront destinations and shopping outlets. Featuring some of the city’s finest restaurants, attractions and nightlife on the Sydney Entertainment Centre’s doorstep.

Darling Quarter – A contemporary urban hamlet thoughtfully designed with Sydney’s outdoorsy style in mind, this vibrant precinct is a hop and a skip from Sydney’s much loved venue. Here you’ll find a snack, a meal or drink to suit your budget before a show. Or simply check out Australia’s most spectacular kids playground, the quirkiest table tennis courts or just lay back and lounge about on an oversized deck chair “on the green”.

Spanish Quarter Home to the Spanish Club and several excellent restaurants, the Spanish Quarter is just around the corner in Liverpool Street, a few minute's walk from the Sydney Entertainment Centre. Feast on tapas, chorizo and paella or just kick back with a jug of sangria with friends before a show.

Sydney’s Paddy’s Markets As Australia’s original market, Paddy's has held a central place in Sydney's history for over 150 years. A stone’s throw from the Sydney Entertainment Centre, the markets have a wide variety of stalls plus fresh fruit & vegies at market prices.  Paddy's is open Wednesday through to Sunday.
