With perfect sight lines from every angle, the Sydney Entertainment Centre is one of the most flexible indoor arenas in Australia. With its unique curtaining system, the venue can be configured into numerous modes to suit different capacities from as intimate as 2,500 up to our licenced capacity of 13,250 guests.
The arena's flexible curtaining system is completely customisable to your event requirements. It can of course disguise from view the upper bowl seating by sections and rows according to event requirements, creating the illusion of a sold out event. However it can also hide the entire upper seating bowl for a cocktail party or banquet on the arena floor. The length and width of the room is completely modifiable.

These are some of our configurations:
END STAGE
The most common mode used at the venue is our "End Stage" mode. As well as the 10,000 seats in the circle and upper seating bowl, you have the option of floor seating of up to 1,500 guests or general admission (standing) for up to 3,000 guests.

HALF ARENA
Move the stage down the floor and curtain behind and a charming and more intimate mode appears for smaller concerts of between 3,000 - 7,000 guests. Sound integrity is maintained as well as providing an "up close & personal" feel for your guests.

IN THE ROUND
An almost 360 degree sight line is achievable with a modified stage placed further down the floor and is particularly popular with Arena Spectaculars, Concerts and Sporting events such as boxing, wrestling or UFC. Lay a basketball or tennis court and voila, the arena transforms yet again.

THEATRE MODE
The SEC’s Theatre mode offers up a reduced auditorium capable of seating around 3,000 people, whilst still retaining a warm and intimate atmosphere. Whilst scaled back, the room is still renowned for its superb acoustic qualities and obtaining that 'up close and personal' experience for the fans.
