The Sydney Entertainment Centre supports the following associations:
TDP (Talent Development Project)
Whilst being one of the leading live entertainment venues in the country, the Sydney Entertainment Centre is also committed to helping to promote young musical talent across the country. As such, the SEC has been a keen sponsor of the Talent Development Project Foundation (TDP) for over 20 years.
The Talent Development Project Foundation was established as a means of cultivating the extraordinary talent being unearthed from the annual Schools Spectacular. TDP is now the most successful youth training and development program in the music and entertainment industry within Australia. The many TDP success stories are testimony to the success of the project and its goal of opening doors for young and gifted Australian performers starting off in the entertainment industry.
Past TDP graduates who have gone on to become prominent names in the show-biz ring include Human Nature, Paulini, John Foreman, Emma Pask, Felicity Urquhart, The McClymonts, Darren Coggan, Nathan Foley (High 5) Julie Goodwin, Angus & Julia Stone, Jack Vidgen, Trevor Ashley, David Harris.
Each year the Sydney Entertainment Centre provides the necessary space as an indoor venue for the program’s intensive workshops where students are given the opportunity to perform in front of their peers, media training & styling, regular auditions, rehearsals as well as their annual START ME UP graduation concert.
As part of the program, students are also given the opportunity to perform on most concerts nights at many of our separate functions and bars inside the venue. This is a brilliant avenue for those students to hone their live performance skills. And so you never quite know who might be performing! One guarantee though is you're sure to be witnessing one of TDP's incredibly talented singer/songwriters before their big break.

The Golden Stave is recognised as one of the leading charity foundations within the entertainment industry. The Australian music and entertainment industries and it associations have generously helped to raise over $12m for charity. The Golden Stave’s key goal has always been to assist children's and community charities that are most in need. Each year funds are raised and allocated to a number of charities.
The Sydney Entertainment Centre is honoured in its long association with The Golden Stave Foundation, helping to raise money by providing support for its yearly fund raising objectives.
AUSTRALIAN MUSIC PRIZE
Affectionately known as AMP, the Australian Music Prize plays host to an annual award prize of $30,000 which is judged and awarded to a local solo performer or band whose recorded album is released in the past 12 months. The Sydney Entertainment Centre is an industry sponsor of this prestigious award and is proud of its support in helping to provide an incredible and much needed platform for fresh and exciting Australian artists to access.
